Discovering Liberty Island - New York
The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of The United States in 1886 to commemorate the alliance between the two countries during the American Revolution.It has been universally regarded as a symbol of freedom and democracy. It was designated a National Monument in 1924. It remains today as one of the most iconic images seen anywhere in the World.
